Oddities at Marvin's
Marvin Yagoda is known for his coin operated
oddities and antiques. Among the coin operated antiques and strange
devices are also other displays like:
- A fiftyfive piece mechanical orchestra that can play over 300 different songs
- Siamese twin doll from the early 1920s
- Merlin the fortune teller that does an actual magic trick
- An array of wonderful automata (wooden mechanical animation)
- Lifesize statue of the world's tallest man
- The Cardiff Giant, which was once displayed by P.T. Barnum
- Working models from England, once displayed at Brighton Beach Sea Resort
- Large collection of historical and vintage fans
- Over 50 airplanes circling overhead, some with a wingspan of nine feet
- A forty foot high wall of early stone lithograph magic posters, some as wide as 15 feet
- An electric chair, rumored to be from Sing-Sing prison, used in the 1930s to 1950s
